Sylvania 5751 (3-mica, D-getter, Black Plate) pair (2pcs)
is one of the most sought after and highest rated vintage preamp tubes among audiophiles. Known as a lower gain (70% gain), direct replacement for the 12AX7/ECC83 tubes, this early 1950s version of the 5751 series is a real rarity.
Key Construction:
Features Black Plate: Early production black plate versions provide a warmer, more textured and saturated sound compared to later gray plate versions.
Triple Mica Plate (3-Mica): The third (top) mica plate gives extra physical stability to the internal structure. This drastically reduces microphony (unwanted noise caused by vibration).
D-getter:
The D-shaped (or sometimes square/horseshoe) getter ring on top of the dome is a hallmark of the earliest, classic Sylvania production from the 1950s.
